A Chat with Anxiety Gaming’s Jason Docton

On average, 650 million people face depression and is considered the leading cause of disability. In our next installment of Echoes of the Grassroots, we sit down with Jason Docton, the Founder and Director of Care for Anxiety Gaming, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing mental health resources for the gaming community.

“It’s terrifying how common these issues are now, and even worse that the numbers jump 25% a year. When I first started trying to fight back against the stigma surrounding mental health, the numbers showed that 2/5 battle mental health issues. That number is now nearly 3/5. Its partly why Anxiety Gaming is a non-nonsense, straight to the point type of treatment center. There are plenty of awareness groups, but our work is directly in making sure people get better right away.

With your help, there really is no limit to how many people we can reach and work with. Having IBUYPOWER stand behind seeking help and talking about these issues is going to make people feel more comfortable doing just that. Thank you for all of your help!”
