Final Fantasy XIV Producer Naoki Yoshida Apologizes to Community



Final Fantasy XIV has made a name after the announcement of its remake. Naoki Yoshida spent plenty of time directing the remake of the game and turning it into a masterpiece with its great graphics and the direction he had set for it as a single server game regardless of the platformed it is played on.

Even though Yoshida’s intentions for the game were nothing but good and sincere, the game encountered its first major issue during it’s early launch. Yoshida had immediately apologized for the problem the players had encountered by announcing future plans to remedy any future issues.

Just a little over a week has gone by and Realm Reborn faces another severe problem being players having difficulties logging into the server. Players once again are unable to log onto the game, which is a result of a larger population logging onto the game than expected. Just as the previous issue Yoshida has stepped forward and has readily accepted the blame as the producer of FFXIV.

A snippet from the original statement:

…I would like to take the time to personally apologize once again to all those players who have been affected by the extended World login and character creation restrictions which have been in place for the past several days”, Yoshida writes on the game’s forums. “I also understand that apologies will not help you get logged in, so I would like to give you an update on the situation at hand and the various measures we are currently employing to alleviate the situation.”

After listing some of their emergency procedures, Yoshida says “The fact that we had to implement these restrictions is a direct result of my inaccurate sales and login estimates, and as producer, I must accept complete responsibility for this misstep. Each and every player who has been affected has my deepest apologies.”

Many could call this the best apology ever given to the public by a Director. Given the circumstance, Yoshida has proven once again as the director of FFXIV his  willingness to accept the problems put forth. Unlike many competitors who avoid consumer complains at all cost, Yoshida has proven time and time again, the amount of respect he believes the players deserve through his sincere apologies. For many it may not seem like much, but it is because of his humble personality people still support his work through hard times.
