Final Fantasy XIV Realm Reborn Officially Launches
After the having experienced a shaky start for its early release of Final Fantasy XIV, Square Enix announced that it will be having major updates every three months. These updates will contain new dungeons, a new daily quest system, extensions to the main story, and more. In addition to the updates, a “full” expansion packs are set to be released in the near future.
A snippet from the original statement:
We’ve already begun work on the first update that is currently called patch 2.1 and will introduce a large-scale housing system, as well as “The Wolves’ Den” — the first ever PvP content in the series. Furthermore, the update will include new dungeons, a new daily quest system, new Primal battles, extensions to the main story, and loads of other new content to enjoy.”
Realm Reborn is out for the PS3 but the PC version will arrive later. For many people wanting a PS4 version, the game will make it’s debut for Sony’s new console some time in 2014.
