The CLG Special Edition Revolt

The CLG Revolt
The CLG Revolt

Hi all –

Tuan with Team iBUYPOWER here to give you guys an update on what’s going on with our custom CLG gaming systems.

Several weeks ago, we posted on Facebook that we would be making several custom CLG systems, starting with the Revolt, and then a custom full tower. Since then, we’ve been in the lab trying to get things to be perfect. Unfortunately, I have to be the bearer of bad news: things aren’t going as well as we had hoped.

Without beating around the bush, we’re having problems getting the wrap onto the Revolt just right. Doing the wrap itself is a painstaking process, since the Revolt has complexities not normally found on a typical system. But one problem keeps coming up and we are having a difficult time figuring it out. Let me show you:

We want this to work so badly.

Let me give everyone a background story on this Revolt.

We’re not doing it to make money. As a matter of fact, we were so excited that the idea came up, the question was literally “why not?” We were certain that the gaming community and CLG fans alike, would fall in love with a system like this. Right now, we’re scratching our heads on how to make the art perfect. Unfortunately, it’s starting to look like it may be impossible to make it as smooth and clean as we would like.

Let us know what you think? We won’t stop trying.

/ Tuan.

UPDATE: I realized that some people may misunderstand my original writing as a statement saying all our CLG systems have an art issue. This is not the case. We’re trying to make just a single Revolt prototype, and we’re having a bit of difficulty getting the wrap on just right. And unless that can be done in a consistent high-quality manner, we won’t do it.
